Dubai: The ICC has announced the annual awards for 2023, with Pat Cummins receiving the Cricketer of the Year title.
Australia’s captain Pat Cummins, who led the team to World Champion status, has been honored as the Cricketer of the Year by the International Cricket Council (ICC), and he has also been awarded the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy.

Pat Cummins’ teammate, Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja, has been awarded the Test Cricketer of the Year for his outstanding performance. Khawaja faced tough competition from his own teammate Travis Head, Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, and England’s Joe Root. He is the only batsman who scored 1210 runs with an average of 52.60 and three centuries in 13 Test matches during 2023.
Indian batsman Virat Kohli has been honored with the ICC Men’s One Day Cricketer of the Year award. Similarly, the ICC Men’s T20 International Cricketer of the Year award went to India’s Suryakumar Yadav.
In the women’s category, England’s all-rounder Nat Sciver Brunt secured the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year award for the second consecutive year.
Sri Lanka’s star Chamari Athapaththu won the ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year award. West Indies’ Hayley Matthews has been awarded the ICC Women’s T20 International Cricketer of the Year.
New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra has been awarded the ICC Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year, while in the women’s category, Australia’s Phoebe Litchfield has been awarded the ICC Women’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year for the rising cricket star of 2023.
