Tel Aviv: Israel has decided to appear before the International Court of Justice in The Hague to demand the dismissal of cases filed against it by South Africa, accusing Israel of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
According to recent media reports, discussions have taken place among the Israeli military, foreign affairs, security, and judiciary regarding ways to deal with the cases filed against Tel Aviv. The spokespersons for both parties have exchanged views on settling the matter through diplomatic pressure.
It should be noted that South Africa has filed a case against Israel in the International Court of Justice, accusing Israel of committing genocide in Palestine. The demand includes an immediate cessation of Israel’s military operations in Gaza.
Meanwhile, after Hamas endorsed South Africa’s request to take action against Israel through international justice, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also initiated legal proceedings in The Hague against Israel for committing crimes of genocide.
It should be noted that since the commencement of Israeli military aggression, over 70,000 tons of explosive materials have been dropped on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of nearly 23,000 Palestinians.
On the other hand, Israeli newspaper Haaretz has released a report revealing that a large number of psychological experts have left the country for the United Kingdom since the October 7 attacks, leaving Israel’s mental health sector on the brink of collapse.
Haaretz reported that dozens of psychiatrists working in Israel’s public mental health system have recently departed for Britain.
