22,000 Cars and 87,000 Motorcycles Lifted for Illegal Parking in Karachi

Karachi: The Inspector General of Traffic Police submitted a report to the Sindh High Court regarding illegal charged parking in Karachi. According to the report presented in court, during the past year, 22,327 cars and 87,371 motorcycles were impounded due to improper parking.

The report states that 89 cases have been filed against those involved in illegal parking until December 12. According to the Traffic Police IG’s report, 111 individuals were arrested in these cases, while fines were issued for double and triple parking, totaling 90,030 vehicles.

As per the report, revenue collected through fines amounted to more than 5 crore 58 lakh 99 thousand rupees during the past year.
