Karachi: In a grand gesture for the public, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Atif Ali Khan, the chairman of North Nazimabad Town, and Muzaffar Ali, the chairman of Nazimabad Town, completed the restoration and beautification of town parks. Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, the president of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, inaugurated five parks in both towns on the same day.
The local residents highly appreciated the efforts of the elected representatives of Jamaat-e-Islami for their excellent performance. Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman also congratulated both town chairmen on their public service and performance.
According to details, after the extensive restoration and beautification of dilapidated parks, the formal opening was conducted on Wednesday. These parks include Nazimabad Model Park, opposite Al-Khidmat Hospital, Zeeshan Haider Park in Nazimabad No. 1, Shalimar Park in Nazimabad Gol Market, Family Park in Block N, and Khushboo Ladies Park in Block A, North Nazimabad.
Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman praised the mentioned officials’ efforts and emphasized working together to address the issues of the local community. He stated that the PPP and MQM have jointly caused destruction and havoc in Karachi, but Jamaat-e-Islami will continue to work for the rights of Karachi’s citizens. Â
He said at the moment of regime change MQM was part of the PDM government along with PML-N and PPP and yet MQM did not make any constitutional amendments in the 16-month period, and it is now talking about it. If MQM has any objections today, it should think about itself. MQM has always sold out the mandate of Karachi’s people, and whatever happened, MQM was always a part of it. MQM is trying to fool the people of Karachi, he said.
The chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi stated that the PPP also talks about provincial autonomy and the NFC Award but never prepares the NFC Award. Jamaat-e-Islami will actively participate in the local elections and represent Karachi in the national and provincial assemblies.
He said that the people of Karachi will vote for Jamaat-e-Islami in large numbers in both local and general elections. Congratulations to Nazimabad residents on the auspicious occasion where Model Park has been constructed.
“Today, we remember former City Mayor Naimatullah Khan, who inaugurated this Model Park 20 years ago. The citizens of Nazimabad and the team of Jamaat-e-Islami deserve congratulations for reviving 5 parks for the public,”, he added.
