Karachi: Ahmed Shah, the President of the Arts Council of Pakistan, has been appointed as the Information Minister of Sindh.
According to a report, on the recommendation of Sindh Chief Minister, Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar, President of the Arts Council Ahmed Shah has been appointed as the Provincial Information Minister. He took the oath of office on the weekday, officially assuming his responsibilities. Governor Sindh, Kamran Tessori administered the oath to Ahmed Shah at the Governor House.
The oath-taking ceremony at the Governor House was attended by provincial ministers, secretaries, intellectuals, artists, and journalists. The Chief Secretary of Sindh, Dr. Fakhr Alam, officiated the hosting duties of the ceremony. After taking the oath, Governor Sindh, Chief Minister Sindh, Chief Secretary Sindh, intellectuals, and friends congratulated Ahmed Shah.
Later, Ahmed Shah was assigned the portfolios of three ministries, including the Ministry of Information, Minority Affairs, and the Ministry of Social Protection. In this regard, a notification has also been issued.
