California: WhatsApp, the world-renowned messaging mobile application owned by Meta, has introduced a new feature called ‘Secret Code’ to further enhance the security of sensitive conversations for its millions of users.
According to details, WhatsApp has introduced this feature to improve the privacy protocol of chats.
Mark Zuckerberg mentioned that users can now secure their chat backups with a unique password.
He further explained that this feature will provide an additional option to hide the locked chat folder from their chat list, accessible only when a secret code is typed in.Â
He stated that the list of locked chats will not be visible, for example, even if someone else uses another person’s phone, it will be impossible for them to see sensitive or hidden conversations.
WhatsApp has introduced this chat lock feature for the purpose mentioned above, and this secret code will be available globally in the coming months.
