In Lahore, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) has surged to 436, leading to reports of breathing difficulties and eye irritation among residents.
Comparatively, other cities that recorded their AQI include New Delhi, India with 316, Baghdad, Iraq with 244, Indonesia with 177, China with 176, and Kolkata, India with 186.
There are serious questions raised about the performance of environmental protection agencies and other authorities. Having records of over 200 AQI is detrimental to human health.
