Influenza Virus Causes Karachi-Wide Cold and Fever

Karachi: The increasing prevalence of the new influenza virus in Karachi has led to residents suffering from flu, cough, and fever. The Health Department has issued precautionary measures.

The Health Department of Sindh has issued an advisory regarding the rising flu virus in Karachi, stating that people in the city are experiencing flu, cough, and fever due to the increasing new influenza virus. The people who are more prone to be affected by this virus include pregnant women, young children, and individuals over the age of 65, especially those with chronic illnesses.

Instructions have been given to isolate affected patients. The public has been requested to cover their nose and mouth with a tissue when sneezing and coughing and then dispose of used tissues in a waste bin, wash their hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap or hand wash, and avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth.
