Rawalpindi: In the Corps Commanders’ Conference it was decided that robust and strong action will be taken against terrorists.
According to the Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the 259th Corps Commanders’ Conference, chaired by Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ), during which a detailed exchange of views on the country’s current situation, especially security issues, took place.
During the Corps Commanders’ Conference, it was decided that Pakistan would confront terrorists, facilitators, and factions boosting their morale with complete force to stabilize the nation. The participants of the conference reiterated their determination that those involved in condemnable propaganda to create a gap between state institutions and the public will not succeed, and God willing, such factions will face further disappointment.
As per the ISPR statement, the participants of the conference emphasized that on 6th September, Pakistan’s Defense and Martyrs Day would be celebrated nationwide. The GHQ also focused on ensuring sustainable peace and development in the merged districts and border areas of Balochistan during the conference.
The conference participants reaffirmed their commitment that all economic activities in the country currently under the supervision of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) will receive full support. All such initiatives that can contribute to economic stability and attract foreign investments will be fully supported by the government to mitigate any potential harm.
As per the released statement, the Army Chief emphasized maintaining the standards of professionalism during operations and fostering excellence during formations’ training. He also highlighted the need to ensure the well-being and morale of soldiers and praised the commanders for their dedication, which forms the basis of the military’s operational readiness
The participants of the conference reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to defend itself against all kinds of direct and indirect threats, emphasizing the nation’s self-determination and regional security. he commanders discussed the challenges facing national security and shared insights into their practical strategies to address the evolving threats posed by emerging challenges.
The conference participants paid tribute to the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, officers, and soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the protection, security, and dignity of the country. They lauded the immense sacrifices made by these heroes and offered heartfelt appreciation for their unwavering commitment.
The participants emphasized that the state of Pakistan always views the martyrs of the armed forces with respect. According to the ISPR statement, prayers were also offered for the martyrs during the Corps Commanders’ Conference.
