Jamaat-e-Islami Faisalabad’s Protest Against Inflation Continues for a Third Day

Faisalabad: The Jamaat-e-Islami Faisalabad’s protest against inflation in Ghanta Ghar, Chowk, persisted for a third consecutive day.

They stated that local administration officials and district authorities did not engage in any dialogue with the demonstrators. On the third day of the protest, leaders including Sardar Zafar Hussain Khan, the Deputy Amir of Jamiat-e-Islami Punjab, Professor Mahboob-ul-Zaman Bhatti, and former President of the Chamber of Commerce Rana Sikandar Azam addressed the participants of the protest. They expressed that both PTI and PDM have not offered any solutions to the public except for despair.

They stated that these IMF’s puppet rulers have burdened every Pakistani with a debt of 1.5 million rupees by obtaining loans under the harshest conditions for their lavish lifestyles, protocoled receptions, and other expenses. As the rulers leave, they have presented 200 government officials with new cars worth 3 billion rupees as gifts from the government’s treasury.

They further said that the coalition of 13 parties that came into power has brought inflation, unemployment, and devastation for 240 million people. Corrupt individuals will persist in power, and corruption won’t end if the ruling elite desires the public to remain unhappy. Ignorance, unemployment, poverty, inflation, and helplessness will remain their fate.

They emphasized that Pakistan needs patriotism-driven leadership and honest officials, not aid. Disheartened by the circumstances, around 1 million people leave the country every year.

They affirmed that only Jamaat-e-Islami can bring about real change. To elect any of these already-tested parties will be nothing but suicidal and would be equivalent to enslavement of the future generations.
