Attock: A case has been registered against two lawyers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan after they had a scuffle with the staff of Attock Jail.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), Imran Khan’s lawyers Sher Afzal Khan and Umair Khan Niazi tore off the uniform of head warden Ibrar Khan during the brawl with the jail staff.
The FIR further stated that when the lawyers were informed about Khan being imprisoned in the jail, they got furious and initiated a physical fight with the jail staff. The FIR includes multiple serious threats by the lawyers against the staff.
It is notable that an Islamabad local court had convicted Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case and sentenced him to 3 years in jail and a fine of Rs 100,000. After this, he was arrested from his residence in Lahore and shifted to Attock Jail.
