Chennai: Pakistan hockey team won its first match of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy held in the Indian city of Chenna. The national team achieved its first victory by defeating China 2-1.
According to details, Pakistan’s Mohammad Sufyan Khan scored the first goal against China in the 20th minute through a penalty corner, while China leveled the score 1-1 by scoring a goal in the 33rd minute. In the 39th minute of the match, Afraz posted a field goal, securing a 2-1 lead for Pakistan, which remained intact until the end of the match.
It should be noted that Pakistan has played four matches in the event so far, winning one, losing one, and drawing two. In the upcoming match in the event, the national team will face traditional rival India on August 9th.
