KARACHI: Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation (KKF), the charity wing of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, has sold two plots it owned in Punjab during the ongoing investigation against the Foundation on money laundering charges.
Geo News while quoting unnamed sources in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) reported that the charity wing of the Karachi-based party sold two plots worth over Rs60 million in Punjab.
The reports said that the plots owned and sold by the KKF were located in Multan and Lahore. The FIA officials investigating the case have written letters to commissioners Multan and Lahore seeking details of the sales and of those who purchased the plots.
Recently, the FIA had seized properties worth Rs3.5 billion of KKF in connection with the ongoing probe.
The FIA official said that the plots were sold illegally, as property owned by the KKF cannot be sold without the permission of the trustees.
The KKF owned four plots in Multan and Lahore and the worth of those sold is over Rs60 million.
The FIA has also asked the Sindh Excise and Taxation Department to ban the transfer of vehicles owned by KKF
