KARACHI: Karachi Police on Saturday afternoon has taken Salim Alias Chanda into custody, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
Salim was a friend of late Amjad Sabri and ‘Tabla Nawaz’ in his Qawwal Party.
When Amjad Sabri’s vehicle was attacked, Salim was with him in the car.
Reports say 11 bullets were fired, but non hit Salim, he only received minor injuries on face due to broken window shield.
Police said that Salim is  is an eyewitness in the murder case of Amjad Sabri and for that reason his face was covered to hide his identity.
Sabri was gunned down in Liaquatabad area on Wednesday in a targeted attack on his car by armed motorcyclists.
He was heading to a studio in Korangi to attend Ramzan transmission when he was sprayed with bullets by masked assailants.
The hitmen spared Saleem Chanda, who was sitting next to Sabri in the vehicle.
