Is Shahid Afridi leaving Peshawar Zalmi?

PESHAWAR: News was hot that former Twenty20 captain and cousin brother of Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi, Shahid Afridi is leaving the franchise this year and join any other team of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

However, team owner Javed Afridi came up with an official statement regarding the issue and said that Shahid Afridi is not going anywhere.

In his comment regarding the rumour, Javed Afridi stated that “Peshawar Zalmi is a professional cricket team, we respect each and every media corner. Any news or rumours which have got no authentication and are baseless and demotivate the fans, will definitely devalue the concerned journalist.”

It is pertinent to mention here that he is planning to arrange one or two T20 matches between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators, without mentioning the venue.
