Edhi refuses to Zardari for treatment abroad

KARACHI: Edhi Foundation Chairman, Abdul Sattar Edhi who is seriously ill these days rejected an offer by former President Asif Ali Zardari for treatment abroad.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Rehman Malik , during his visit to Edhi sahib, made an offer to take Edhi to any hospital in the world if he agrees.

But Edhi Sahab refused to go abroad for treatment and insisted on to get treated in Pakistan, particularly from a government hospital.

Faisal Edhi, son of Mr Edhi told media today that, “He insists on treatment in Pakistan, particularly in a government hospital.”

Abdul Sattar Edhi was diagnosed with kidney failure back in 2013.

Seasoned author and human rights activist Tehmina Durrani also confirmed the refusal by Abdul Sattar Edhi.
