Hafeez acquitted from ‘fake injury’ blame

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket team’s doctor, Dr Sohail has given clean chit to Mohamamd Hafeez in ‘fake injury’ case.

Dr Shoail recorded his statement before Inquiry Committee formed to probe into blames on Mohammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz for faking injury during T20 World Cup.

“Hafeez had kept us informed about his injury, however it got unexpectedly soar during WT20, pertaining to his injury, management decided to give him rest for next matches,” Dr Sohail told enquiry committee.

Earlier, Hafeez has refuted allegations that he had been faking an injury to skip Pakistan’s final two matches at the World T20 and claimed that a conspiracy has been raised against him to keep him out of the Pakistan national team.
