KARACHI: Opposition leaders from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in Sindh Assembly staged a symbolic walkout to protested against Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza over Karkhana Bill 2015 amendment.
MQM Leader Iftikhar Ahmed Qaimkhani requested to speak on the amendments moved by Khuwaja Israr ul Hasan however, Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza informed MQM leaders that it is not possible since Khuwaja Isral ul Hasan is not present in the Assembly.
MQM leader bill started hooting against Deputy Speaker and chanted Go Shehla Go while walking out of the Assembly hall. Sindh Assembly approved the Kharkhana Bill 2015 in the absence of members representing MQM.
MQM leader Syed Sardar Ahed stayed in assembly hall surprising leaders of Pakistan People’s Party. He did not reply to Muraad Ali Shah when he inquired about his presence and stance on the protest. MQM leaders returned to the Assembly hall after their symbolic walk out.
