Shahbaz Taseer’s recovery is part of any deal?

LAHORE: Senior journalist ans anchor person Shahzaib Khanzada has claimed that Shahbaz Taseer was kidnapped by a local engineering student, not Taliban.

Shahzaib Khanzad in his program, “Aj Shahzaib Khanzada kay Sath” clamied that a radicalized local student Usman Basra kidnapped Salman Taseer’s son Shahbaz Taseer, from Gulberg in August 2011.

Usman was a degree holder from Punjab university of Engineering and Technology.

Khanzada further revealed that Shahbaz Taseer was initially kept in Lahore’s posh area Valancia Society for few days after kidnap.

Usman, who was the leader of local facilitators of extremists, handed Taseer to Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU).

IMU kept Shahbaz in custody for several weeks and then he was transferred to tribal areas.

He also reported that Shahbaz Taseer was not recovered in any raid from security agencies, but he was found having lunch on a local hotel in Kuchlak, he reportedly phoned at home from a nearby PCO.

Security Agencies reached there later, after getting reports and asked for every one NICs, Shahbaz Taseer was then taken into custody.

Shahzaib sensed that Shahbaz Taseer’s sudden recovery might be a result of any deal between kidnappers and Taseer family.
