LAHORE: Selection committee of Pakistan cricket team is likely to be sacked anytime this week, TheNewsTribe.com learnt from local media.
According to senior sports journalist and columnist, Abdul Majid Bhatti during a TV show on Monday night, claimed that Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shahryar Khan is angry with selection committee’s errors during Asia Cup’s team selection, and wants it to be dissolved.
On the other, Chief of PCB’s Executive Committee, and Chariman Pakistan Super League Najam Sethi stands slightly farther than Mr Khan, demanding head coach and captain also to be sacked along with Selection Committee.
Bhatti went on to say that major changes in Pakistan team’s management are expected in near future.
He further sensed that the matter may prolong until Fact Finding Committee formed to investigate reasons behind team’s poor performance in Asia Cup 2016, including Shakeel Sheikh, Misbah ul Haq, Younis Khan and Intekhab Alam, present their report to PCB.
