Lal Mosque case: Court rejects Musharraf’s exemption plea

ISLAMABAD: An additional and sessions court on Saturday has rejected former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s plea seeking permanent exemption from appearing in Lal Mosque Case.

The additional and sessions judge, Parvez Qadir Memon, announced the verdict and issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Musharraf.

The former military ruler had filed a petition with the court, seeking permanent exemption from appearing in the case.

The court had reserved its verdict on February 13 after conclusion of arguments on the petition.
