MELBOURNE: India is taking on Australia in Do or Die contest, third One Day International (ODI) game of five-match series at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne on Sunday as Aussies are leading the series 2-0.
Australia after winning toss put India to bat first and so far there decision has proved right as India has lost their premier opener Rohit Sharma for just 6 runs, he was sent back to hut by collaboration of Wade and Richardson.
Now its must win game (3rd ODI) for India to stay alive in the series otherwise the way Aussies are playing it seems like they will be looking for a white wash against the visitors from Asia.
Earlier on Friday, India after winning the toss on good looking track in 2nd ODI chose to bat first and put up a huge total of 308 on board courtesy to Rohit Sharma’s brilliant 124 runs and Rahane’s 80 runs.
While chasing the monstrous target Aussie batting made it very simple and chased down the target 6 balls before the 50 overs with 7 wickets in hands, George Bailey scored 76 runs while openers Finch, Marsh scored 71 runs each.
Australia will be looking to win the series by winning the 3rd encounter but Indian batting lineup has showed that they can make a comeback in the series in 3nd ODI.
