U-turn: PCB suspends Umar Akmal’s T20 ban

AUCKLAND: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over turned its decision to ban talented middle order batsman Umar Akmal for first Twnety20 (T20) International for code of conduct violation.

According to sources, PCB took back his decision on Tuesday night and allowed Umar Akmal to be picked for inaugural T20 match against Kiwis on Friday.

Sources say, PCB was compelled by T20 skipper Shahid khan Afridi to alter its decision regarding Umar Akmal’s international match ban.

PCB now says that the ban is for a domestic game not an international match.
