PCB to defend Yasir Shah case in ICC

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Sunday decided to file appeal in International Cricket Council (ICC) against the Yasir Shah’s suspension  over anti-doping laws violation.

According to statement, the PCB will request ICC lift the ban  saying because he had taken medicine of his wife mistakenly.

On December 27, the ICC provisionally suspended Pakistani leg-break bowler Yasir Shah for breaching anti-doping code.

The prohibited substance named chlortalidone, which appears in section 5 of WADA prohibited list, was found in cricketer’s blood sample collected on November 13, 2015.

If found guilty, the leg-spinner could face up to two years of suspension.
