SINDH: Steering committee of Education department Sindh announced Public Holiday on December 3 due to Chehlum procession, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
According to details, government and private schools and colleges will remain close on December three. Supplementary exams scheduled on 3, 4 and 5 December also postponed.
Education boar also announced the new date of exams. The exams that was scheduled on December 3, will be held on December 12 on Saturday and scheduled exam of 5Â December now shifted to December 15.
Earlier, Government of Sindh on Tuesday decided to ban on pillion riding in the province for 26 hours on account of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A).
Ban will be enforced from 10:00 pm on Wednesday (tomorrow).
Rangers and police personnel will be deployed to ensure the security during Chehlum procession, meeting informed.
Rangers and police snipers will be deployed atop buildings on the route of the Chehlum procession. Spokes person told that security arrangements were reviewed for chehlum procession.
