RAWALPINDI:  A local holiday will be observed in Rawalpindi on the account of local bodies elections on Saturday (December 5).

According to a notification issued by the Punjab government A local holiday will be observed in Rawalpindi on the account of local bodies elections on Saturday (December 5) so that maximum people can use their right to vote for their candidates.

Earlier yesterday Ruling party of the country Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) lead Islamabad Local Bodies (LB) polls with 21 seats where Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) got 15 seats and 14 independent candidates got success.

According to details, PTI’s worst performances in LB polls continued across the country as PML-N has defeated PTI in the Islamabad LB polls as well. The contest was held for 50 Union Councils (UCs) of capital city.
