LAHORE: Former legendary Pakistani Test cricketers Javed Miandad and Sarfraz Nawaz has disappointment over Pakistan’s worst defeat in the third One Day International against (ODI) against England.
According to details, Miandad alleged that the final eleven boys were selected as per wish of Pakistan team head coach Waqar Younis, that’s why he was responsible to a great extent for the defeat.
He also claimed that specialist opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad had also been a victim of Waqar as he had some disciplinary issues with the coach and team management.
On the other side Sarfraz Nawaz was of the opinion that captain ODI Azhar Ali and Waqar were responsible for such worst defeat.
While speaking about former English captain Micheal Vaughan’s allegations, he said Waqar was also the coach on Pakistan’s tour to England in 2010 when the spot-fixing controversy involving Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt happened.
“I feel Waqar should be removed and a new coach be brought in,” he said.
Sarfraz said Azhar should also be questioned regarding Vaughan’s allegations and an inquiry report should be conducted on priority basis.
Pakistan is 2-1 down in the 4-match ODI series against the visitors and last match of the series id to be played on November 20 at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai.
