ISLAMABAD: During raids conducted by Additional Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Abdul Sattar Isani, one meat shop and two cafes were sealed in the Capital city.
According to details, one cafe was also fined during the raids, food administration has claimed that that Qureshi Meat Shop was sealed after all freezers were found dirty.
Also there were no expiry dates found on the preserved meat while, meat trays were open, uncovered and dirty.
Meat stored in the cold storage was scattered on the floor, in “worst hygiene and cleanliness conditions” and meat meant for dogs and pets was kept with meat for human consumption.
Cafe street 1 Â and Table talk were sealed over poor cleaning conditions while Cafe Gloria jeans and Porter House restaurant were fined Rs 50,000 for the same cause.
It is to be kept in mind that food authorities across Punjab and different parts of the country in full swing to counter unhygienic and unhealthy food stalk.
