LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Team’s seasoned off-spinner and spin partner of talented leg spinner and world record holder Yasir Shah, Zulfiqar Babar has broken mystery spinner Saeed Ajmal’s unique record.
Zulfiqar Babar completed his fifty Test wickets in third Test against England when he removed James Taylor in second innings to give his team a strong position in the game.
With this wicket, Zulfiqar became the oldest spin bowler to get 50 Test wickets FROM Pakistan.
He achieved scaled this milestone in the age of 36 years and 330 days. Before him, this record was held by magician spinner Saeed Ajmal who bagged his first fifty Test wickets in the age of 33 years and 222 days.
