SHC bans open sale of Gutka, Mainpuri

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court has on Wednesday has banned sale of unhygienic Gutka and Mainpuri and ordered to present the report in two weeks.

The SHC heard a petition regarding sale of gutka and mainpuri being sold openly, posing a serious threat to the health of the citizens.

During the hearing, the Deputy Advocate General told the court that the Chief Minister Sindh has not yet approved summary for the ban on unhygienic things and requested the court for more time to submit reply.

The court prohibited the sale of gutka and mainpuri and sought report in two weeks.
