MUMBAI: Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan decided to stand against Indian extremist parties and vowed to support Pakistani actress Mahira Khan.
Talking in supports of his Raees co-star, Shah Rukh Khan recently said creative people should not be barred from working anywhere just because they come from a different country.
When the 50-year-old actor was asked that whether he will support Mahira Khan or will cow down to Shiv Sena, he said, “Well the fact that she in my film means that she should be. the word is not allowed.
Earlier, couple of weeks ago, Indian extremist party gave threats to Pakistan star actors Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan in India.
Shiv Sena said that no Pakistani star will perform in India. Both actors were busy in promotion of their upcoming movies and now Shiv Sena asked them to leave India.
“We will not allow to Pakistani artist to perform in India,” Shiv Sena worker said. Indian extremist party also gave threats to Pakistan umpire Aleem Dar and other Pakistan artists and cricketers.”
Fawad Khan is starring in Karan Johar’s Kapoor & Sons Ae Dil Hai Mushkilwhile Mahira is appearing opposite to Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees.
