SHARJAH: Pakistan Cricket team Head Coach Waqar Younis has stated that off-spinner Bilal Asif can be included into the squad for third Test against England if he clears bio-mechanic Test, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
Waqar Younis was talking to media in Sharjah. Waqar said he is hopeful for the youngster to clear his action, in reply to a question from reporter he said Bilal can be included in the team for the third Test if he clears bowling Test.
Bilal Asif’s bio-mechanic test was taken in Chennai lab on October 19, his reports are expected within next two days.
Bilal Asif was reported for a suspect action, making him the team s third player within the last year to be investigated for illegal bowling.
30-year-old Asif took 5-25 in the third and final one-day international against Zimbabwe in Harare on Monday to help Pakistan win the match by seven wickets, taking the series 2-1.
But, during the match, umpires Jeremiah Matibiri of Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka s Ruchira Palliyaguruge reported Asif s action to match referee David Jukes of England.
