DUBAI: Pakistani cricketers revealed that they did not celebrate their win against England in the second Test in Dubai after hearing news of disaster in Pakistan.
Pakistani cricket stars vowed to support earthquake victims and said that they will participate in relief work once they return home.
“Our hearts are with the suffering families and players intend to do relief work once they return home,” Intikhab told AFP after the 178-run win.
Cricket stars expressed grief over the The 7.5 magnitude quake hit Afghanistan and north-west Pakistan.
Misbah ul Haq said that”We are badly hurt by the news of the earthquake and send our heartfelt condolences to families who lost their dear ones.”
Boom Boom Shahid Khan Afridi on Tuesday visited lady reading hospital in Peshawar, Pakistan and announced to donate Rs 50 lac for the victim of the earthquake.
He was arrived to visit the injured people who are admitted in hospital after the yesterday’s deadly earthquake.
While talking to media he said his foundation, Shahid Afridi Foundation has been working in different affected parts of the country.
