ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday has issued a list of contestants for Union Councils and Wards in Punjab Local Bodies (LB) elections.
According to details, first phase of LB elections will be held on October 31 between 2696 Union Councils.
1945 contestants will fight elections for the chairman and vice chairman of Union Councils.
1801 contestants will fight elections for District Councils.
2506 contestants will fight for Tehsil Councils.
Moreover 16 contestants for Chairman and Vice Chairman of Union Councils have been elected without contesting in election over consensus.
While 758 contestants have been elected without participating in elections for Wards in Punjab.
