KARACHI – Pakistan’s wicket-keeper and vice captain of Pakistan t20 team, Sarfraz Ahmed ruled out the controversy regarding his exclusion from Twenty series against Sri Lanka.
Sarfraz Ahmed said that he is happy that Pakistan team won the T20 series and improved its rankings on ICC table.
“I have no issues if I am rested because of team requirements. I am not a part of the tour selection committee. My job is to give my best performances whenever I play and I always try to do that,” Sarfraz Ahmed was quoted as saying by the Indian media.
He also said that he is happy to see the way Pakistan team won the Twenty20 series against Sri Lanka and how team performed throughout the tour.
Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board asked Shahid Afridi and team management to explain why Sarfraz Ahmed was dropped from T20 series against Sri Lanka.
Chief selector of Pakistan cricket team said that captain of Pakistan T20 format and team management should explain why they dropped vice captain and not gave him chance against crucial series before mega event of ICC.
