Pakistan vs Sri Lanka: Rain stops play in 3rd ODI at Colombo

COLOMBO – Rain stopped play in third One Day International match of five match series at Colombo on Sunday.

Field umpires stopped the play because of heavy rain. Players were playing in light rain from last few overs but after heavy rain umpires decided to stop play called for covers.

After loosing skipper, Pakistan team again came on track courtesy Hafeez and Sarfraz’s batting.

Azhar Ali lost his wicket after scoring 49 runs and Ahmed Shehzad left the crease after contributing 44 runs in team total.

Skipper Azhar Ali and Ahmad Shehzad opened the inning for Pakistan team and showed discipline in first ten overs.

Azhar Ali scored 20 runs in just 21 balls and Shehzad contributed 30 runs in partnership of 55 runs in 10 overs.

Pakistani skipper decided to bat first after winning the toss. He selected the to bat first because of pitch. Skipper said that this surface is looking good for batting.

Pakistan team changed the previous final eleven and inducted young cricketer Imad Wasim and gave rest to Babar Azam . Imad Wasim is also a left-arm spinner so he can fulfill the space of Mohammad Hafeez who is facing ban of one year after he failed to clear the bio-metric bowling test.
