Pakistan clinches test series 2-1 against Sri Lanka

PALLEKELE – Pakistan has beaten Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the third and final test at Pallekele to take up the series 2-1.

Legend batsman Younus Khan was unbeaten on 171 runs while skipper Misbah ul Haq remained not out on  59 runs.

Young opening batsman, Shan Masood, scored 125 runs to set the tone of Pakistan to chase down record total of 377 runs.

This is the highest total ever chased on Sri Lankan soil in the history of test cricket.

Younus Khan was declared man of the match for his superb match winning innings, while Yasir Shah was declared best player of the series for his brilliant bowling throughout the series.
