Highlights: 2nd Test, Day One – Pakistan vs Sri Lanka 2015

COLOMBO – Sri Lankan team create trouble for Pakistan on the very first day of second Test match of threes match series, on Thursday.

In morning, Pakistani skipper won the toss and elected to bat first but his decision went wrong as eight Pakistan batsmen left the crease on the total of 68 runs.

Sri Lankan fast bowlers utilized the conditions very well and picked wickets on regular intervals. Sri Lankan PH Kaushal picked up five wickets and surprised Pakistani batsmen with his variations.

Pakistan team scored just 138 runs in their first inning.Seven of Pakistan batsmen could not reach double figures. Muhammed Hafeez was the top scorer with 42 runs. Younus Khan who is playing his 100th test failed to have an impact in the first innings.

Younis Khan just scored six run and lost his wicket.

Before first day stumped, Sri Lankan team scored 70 runs at the lost of one wicket. Kumar Sangakara(18) and Silve (21) still on the pitch.

Pakistani pacer Junaid Khan gave Pakistan first break through. Sri Lankan opener Karunaratne left the crease after scoring 28 runs.

Pakistani spinner Zulfiqar Babar appealed in the 19th over for caught out but filed umpire and third umpire refused their review. That ball was clearly hitting stump but third umpired gave him not out.

Waqar Younus raised objection against the decision and official apologized for that decision. While talking to media, Pakistani head coach admit that Lankan bowlers bowled with discipline and Pakistani batsmen made so many mistakes.
