ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and PPP’s prominent leader Yousaf Raza Gilani accepted the possession of Turkish First Lady’s necklace and promised to return it tomorrow (Friday), local media reported.
According to details, during investigation from Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officers, Gilani acknowledged that he possesses the much-talked necklace, and told officers that it is safe and secure.
In a confessional statement recorded by FIA officials, Gilani pledged to return the necklace to the Prime minister house tomorrow, through former National Assembly speaker Faisal Kareem Kundi.
He added that it will be the same necklace that the Turk first lady donated in 2010 for flood affected people had disappeared and Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar had ordered FIA to conduct an inquiry into the matter.
Gilani’s statement came up after FIA warned to register an FIR against him if he failed to return the necklace.
