KABUL – Three bomb blasts were heard in the premises of the Afghan parliament in Kabul on Monday.
The bomb blasts occurred when the session of the parliament was underway. One blast occurred inside the parliament whereas the other two blasts were heard outside the parliament hall.
Sources said that the assailants stormed the parliament when the session was underway. Security forces retaliated but the attackers managed to enter into the parliament.
However, it could not be ascertained that how many deaths or injuries had occurred as a result of the blasts. It was learnt that security forces have had started shifting the members of the parliament and journalists to safer locations.
Taliban have claimed the responsibility of the bomb attack on the Afghan parliament, said sources.
