Seven people including five children died in Rawalpindi house fire

RAWALPINDI – Seven people died in a fire at a two-storey house on Wednesday morning in Rawalpindi’s Chaklala Scheme 3 area. Two women were also injured in the fire.

According to media reports, there are five children among seven casualties while injured women have been shifted to the hospital in a critical situation. Sources revealed that the victims belong to the same family including Shaukat Cheema, 35, his wife Ayesha, 32, and their five children.

The fire was extinguished by a fire brigade team, and police is now investigating the incident.

 

Rescuers broke the upstairs windows to rescue those trapped upstairs, but the members of the family had passed away mostly due to suffocation.
