KARACHI – The provincial budget of Sindh for the fiscal year 2015-16 will be presented today in Sindh Assembly. The total layout of the budget is expected to be over Rs 750 billion.
Sindh cabinet has approved the recommendations for the provincial budget 2015-16. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah chaired the cabinet meeting. Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah will present the budget in Sindh Assembly.
According to the media sources, the provincial government has allocated Rs.54 billion for health department while Rs.106 billion has been assigned for education. Provincial government has announced to allocate Rs.200 billion for the development projects.
As much as 10 per cent raise is expected in the salaries of the government employees. Similarly, the 2015-16 budget will also be introducing insurance and Ramadan and Eid relief schemes.
Moreover, Provincial Government has also increased the budget of police department for the induction of rocket launchers in police arsenal. It is also proposed to allocate Rs 2.44 billion for Rangers; Rs 1 billion for FC; Rs 5 billion for procuring latest arms for police.
