IS is recruiting fighter in Afghanistan, Pakistan: NATO

KABUL: North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) commander said that Islamic State is recruiting fighters in Afghanistan and Pakistan but they are not yet operational.

According to AFP, General John F Campbell the commander of NATO forces in Afghanistan stated that IS is recruiting fighters in the two countries and the money is being moved to different places.

He also said that Taliban are changing their overall nature in order to regain the world’s attention and its resources.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has repeatedly raised fears that IS is making its way in the country which is already hit with Talibanisation.

NATO officially ended its combat mission in Afghanistan but its force is providing training to local police.
