LAHORE – Pakistan hockey team has refused to go on the Korean trip to play four match test series against Korea on Thursday.
Pakistan Hockey team has refused to go on the tour of Korea against the protest of non-receipt of payment of Australian tour.
The Players said that Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has not yet given payments of the Australian tour, and we will not go to Korean tour unless we receive the payments of Australian tour.
Pakistan Hockey team had to go Korea on Friday, the first match will be held on May 18, the second on May 20, the third on May 22 and the fourth and final match on May 23″, a spokesman of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) said on Tuesday.
There was the issue of visas from the Korean embassy for the hockey players, but soon as the visa issue dissolved senior players refused to go to the tour.
The players further added that even the team officials are living on 50% of their remunerations but we cannot join team on non-payment basis.
