RAWALPINDI: Pakistan domestic side Rawalpindi Ramps has allowed Mohammad to represent their side in the upcoming domestic Twenty 20 tournament.
According to details, the domestic Super Eight tournament is scheduled to be held in Faisalabad from May 11 where eight top teams from the country will be taking part.
A senior official of the Rawalpindi cricket association said they have picked Amir in the major tournament.
“Amir belongs to Rawalpindi and since he is allowed to play in domestic cricket he can represent our team in the national event,” the official said.
The pacer, who is serving a five-year ban for spot fixing which ends in September, has been allowed by the ICC to play domestic cricket in Pakistan.
Amir represented Omar Associates in the non-first class Patrons Trophy Grade 2 competition in March-April taking them to the final with 22 wickets in four matches but in the final he suffered a hamstring injury and also saw his team lose the match.
