NEW DELHI – A senior minister of Punjab in India while commenting on the recent rape incident in a public bus said that the attempt of rape was a natural process and all the government could do was to provide security to the citizens.
A rape attempt had been made few days ago on a lady travelling with her fourteen years old daughter in a public bus. In order to escape, the mother and the daughter had jumped off the bus.
The mother experienced serious injuries while her fourteen years old daughter could not bear up with the injuries and had succumbed to death.
The family of affected individuals denied post mortem and demanded strict action against those who were involved in such a wild act.
A senior minister of the State of Punjab Sarjeet Singh while defending the government said that it should not be portrayed as a state of helplessness but was completely a natural process. He also added that the maximum on the part of government is to ensure citizen’s security and that it was not in their control to inhibit human feelings.
