PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers have alleged that party made unfair distribution of tickets during the local bodies election in Peshawar.
The workers demanded PTI chairman Imran Khan to take notice of the issue in his personal capacity or else they threatened him that they will go for a hunger strike against Azam Sawati.
They said that those who used to raise slogans of change could not bring change to their own party. The party workers were extremely exhausted in the quest of obtaining party tickets during the local bodies elections.
Marwa, the district head of Boneer, accused Azam Swati of not issuing tickets to the party workers and that he had been blessing those who had nothing to do with the party.
Imran Khan while addressing this issue has formed a committee under Provincial President Ejaz Choudhary that would contact the members who could not get tickets during the cantonment board elections.
Imran Khan said that those who could not get tickets shall be compensated in local bodies elections through appropriate adjustments.
