A retirement houses offers students free accommodation in their nursing home but for this they have to spend at least 30 hours in a month with elders.
The needy students of Dutch universities have been offered free housing project on condition that they will spend some time with the elderly in nursing homes.
Agency of elderly care offered needy students of the university free housing and plus free food so that they can save their money by staying in the nearby expensive hostels of university.
However, this feature can only benefit the student who promised to care for a little time, and being a good neighbor will care for the elderly.
As far as the plan is concern it is decided by the retirement house that student have to spend at least 30 hours a month to care elders to get free accommodation in nursing homes.
Manager of the company said that they want to give comfortable and excellent accommodation to the elders of the Netherlands.
“So that’s why we started the project of nursing houses and asked the students and youth to become neighbors of elders.”
The manager told that at the time 6 students is living in a nursing home with 160 elders; they go home with the permission of the elders.
Adding to that she said “the youth is giving new life to the elders, and got opportunity to learn many things from the elders”.
