There Is No Need To Get ‘Unnecessary Attention’: Katrina Kaif

Being in the public eye is a part and parcel of stardom, but actor Katrina Kaif who is known to stay away from the spotlight, says that she likes it that way.

The 31-year-old tells us that she will never go out of her way to get undue attention. She said:

“The nature of our profession is such that we attract attention all the time. But I feel that you don’t need to go out of your way for it. There is no need to actually plan or devise a way of getting unnecessary attention,”

The actress however, adds that she does not mind being under the scanner, if it benefits the film.

“When you are out there promoting your film, you are not only promoting yourself, but your producer, director as well as a team, whose career depends on it. So, you must attract attention for this as you need to get people to come and watch your film,” says the actor.

Katrina was in the Capital recently to shoot for her upcoming Abhishek Kapoor directorial, and says that she loves filming in Delhi.

“I have shot quite a few times in Delhi. I shot for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011) and Bang Bang. I have spent close to a month here every time and it is always fun,” says Katrina, adding, “I love shooting here because it is so peaceful. We did not have the time to go around the city much this time. Besides shooting in four to five locations outside, most of the sequences have been indoors.”

Katrina says that she is looking forward to the release of the film. “It has such a fine storyline and we have shot it well. I am very excited about it,” she says.
