Bollywood Will Make Film On Pakistani Novel

Karachi-Bollywood will make film on Pakistani Journalist Saba Imtiaz’s first novel ‘Karachi, You’re Killing Me’.

The story of the novel revolves round the events that occurred during Ayesha Khan(the protagonist) who is a reporter, is working for a local newspaper in Karachi.

The filmmakers of ‘Air Lift’ intend to present the location of the story in Delhi in place of Karachi.

Mumbai Mirror says the film might be named ‘Delhi, you’re killing me’.

The author of the novel Saba said in an interview that she is very excited about this project.

I am very happy that my novel will be filmed. I’m anxious to see how Karachi will replace Delhi as the main city of and the film and how much the film gets successful.

The script writer of Pakistani film ‘Dekh Magar Piyaar Say’ says that the film makers will have to do a lot of work to make the script interesting for Indian Viewers.

When she was asked that why Pakistan couldn’t make a film on the situation of Karachi her reply was:

‘Some developments happened in this regard but they couldn’t be materialized’

“I did not contact anyone myself. In Pakistan, two people showed interest in the novel, but they did not commit. My publisher handles copy rights to the novel and all other communication.

Bollywood Producers and filmmaker Vikram Malhotra said the the process of choosing the
cast has begun
Malhotra told Mumbai Mirror, “Vikas Bhel told me the story It attracted me like ‘Queen’ had. I am confident that this novel will surely become a good film.
